How to pack laundry for a wash & fold pickup

First time sending laundry out? Here's the short version of how to prep your bags so pickup and delivery go smoothly — and your favorite shirt comes back the way you like it.

  1. 1

Use a sturdy 13-gallon kitchen bag

A standard 13-gallon kitchen trash bag is the right size — one bag equals one load. Fill it comfortably so it can close without ripping and nothing spills out the top. If you have more clothes than that, just grab another bag.

  2. 2

    Empty pockets before you bag

Cash, receipts, keys, chapstick, and pens are the usual suspects. Two minutes of pocket-checking now saves an ink-explosion later.

  3. 3

Keep delicates in their own bag

Bras, sweaters, workout gear, or anything that says "lay flat to dry" — separate those into their own bag and write a quick note on pickup: air-dry, cold wash, or gentle cycle. We'll follow it.

  4. 4

    Point out stains

If a shirt has a coffee stain or your kid found the ketchup, tell us in the notes. A quick heads-up lets us pre-treat before the wash instead of after it sets.

  5. 5

Tie the bag and label if needed

Knot the top so clothes don't tumble out during pickup. Sending multiple bags for different people in the household? A strip of tape with a name on it makes folding and returning easier.

  6. 6

Leave it somewhere easy to grab

Front porch, entryway, or garage — wherever we can pick it up quickly on pickup day. If you need to leave detailed instructions, note them when you book.
